Mode S implementation on the 737NG

Hello folks,
the other day a central european controller advised us that we did not have the requested speed selected (we were on descent, were supposed to maintain 220 knots and my colleague was flying in VS with flaps up speed selected, we were nonetheless maintaining 220 knots). That got me thinking: The manual only mentions that the MCP altitude is transmitted, but obviously there must be more that is sent. Anyone have any details as to what information the mode S downlink contains on recent models?
