P253 in Beijing FIR
Hi
Anyone flying into China?
Arriving from East into Beijing FIR (Entry via ANRAT on A326) the controller gives a direct routing to a point called P253.
I cant find it published anywhere. Does anyone know about this point?
Thanks

The domestic waypoints in China are only displayed in the documents and the databases of the local carriers, with a few exceptions. Chinese controllers either don't understand or forget this. If given an instruction to report of fly to one of these points, the only option you have is to decline the instruction. Explain you have no information about the domestic waypoints. Sometimes the controllers still don't understand, at which point I always ask for radar vectors.

Thanks Dan
I believe that should be the correct approach unless you have a publication that displays the waypoint details.
It appears that most people have the coordinates for the point P253 and they create it in the FMC and fly direct to it.
But who knows when the Chinese change the coordinates and flying direct to the old P253 makes you go somewhere else.
