Beluga Control "Yoke"
Does anyone happen to know why the AB Beluga (I believe a 300 airframe) uses conventional yoke and not the AB Side Stick?

Having watched a cocpit video of a cross wind landing in the Beluga, I was impressed with the obvious inputs being made by the PF (RHS) and wondering how usefull that visual might have been for the AF447 Captain upon his return tto the flight deck?

It's not the size of your control stick, it's what you do with it that counts

I like to think that this is what the 737CL could have looked like if Boeing would have been a little more progressive early on
love the 300/310!

@EW73 - Worst preflight of any airliner I've flown. And have you flown the 757/767/777? IMO much better cockpit layouts, but they're also newer designs(A300/310 = early 70's vs. late 70's(757/767)/early 90's for the 777)
And the cabin call alert would make you jump out of your skin about 25-50% of the time(very loud, right above your head). Between the two pilots is was very common for one, or both, guys to jump when the F/A's called. First flight - BUZZZZ!!!!!!
I'm startled - "what the hell is that!?!?!" CKA laughs - "sorry, I forgot to warn you."

During the flight control checks on the ground, when I pulled the stick full aft, over the intercom I thought I heard a giggle.
Just to be sure I did it again. It was a giggle.
