ETOPS
Hello, Im getting a biit fustrated trying to find the answer to this specific question. II know ETOPS has been done many times and there is much information eslewhere. However at our compnay we are not ETOPS approved but are allowed 120 minute rule. My question how can you fly for more than 60 mins and not be ETOPS approved? More than 60 mins and you are into ETOPS . so im guessing its dispenation thing then or what?
thanks

I guess you are flying smaller jet, aren`t you?
See EU-OPS 1, subpart D, OPS 1.245,
Maximum distance from an adequate aerodrome for two-engined aeroplanes without an ETOPS Approval
which basically states that Performance class A acft with max approved PAX seating of 19 or less and MTOW less than 45 360kg can be flown in distance up to 120min from adequate aerodrome (or even 180min if approved by CAA) without an ETOPS
