strange damage on fuselage
After landing we discovered these strange damage marks.
Technicians are still unable to find out what could it be - lightning strike (unusual location near cargo door and it also has scratch marks), damage by loading equipment (it wasn't there on preflight, and why the burn marks then?) or something else?
Could it be gun rifle damage?
Any ideas?

ground support equipment, the black being from the rubber on the front of the GSE. (not that even the rubber should ever touch the aircraft but no one seems to read that bit of the manual.)

Looks like damage from a piece of loading equipment to me. The crew would not have noticed it as they do their walkround during loading. The person doing pre departure walkround might should have spotted it though.

just a guess...
Scratch marks in vertical direction and more abrasion at points with supporting structure behind it (rivet).
Maybe the loading crew mispositioned their equipment and the conveyor belt was rubbing against the structure.

I agree with Glum, but have refrained from posting due to the obvious contact from ground equipment with black rubber bumpers. There is nothing strange abut this damage and no logical reason to expect damage from any rifle or firearm even if your flight was in an area where groundfire is the slightest of possibilites. Hell they rubbed the paint off and may have left a dent (2D) photo.
