Electronic Flight Logbooks

Hi, I am trying to figure out what program to buy and I would like some input (I did read the old post but that is it, they are OLD)

What program do you use for your electronic flight log?
Is it Mac or Windows compatible or both and does it sync with Iphone/Android/BB
What are the prices?
Why did you chose it?

Why not, over a couple of cups of coffee, write a simple Excel sheet to do the task ?

LogTen Pro.

Mac only.

Syncs with iPad and/or iPhone.

Costs as per Coradine Aviation – LogTen Pro Pilot Logbook for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Best electronic log book I've seen.

I agree with the recommendation of LogTen Pro. It is Mac only and has companion apps for the iPhone and iPad.

It is not cheap but IMHO it is worth every penny. I have been using it since ver3 and it is now on ver5. You can download a fully working copy (limited to 40 hours of entry) from their website.

I do like logten pro as well. Imports schedules from a wide range of rostering systems, does a beautiful job on the road (vie my iPhone) and at home at my mac. Costly, but worth the money.

Logten Pro is by far the best electronic logbook I've ever come across. It is easy to use, yet it is plenty capable...

Not cheap, works only on Mac OS, excellent support staff and sure does the job incredibly well...

Excel logbook

I found this quite a few years back. The author no longer seems to support it, but would no doubt happily accept your $5 if you send it.

It does need a little bit of work each time we encounter a new year, but otherwise it does everything I need.

Be wary of using the iPhone app(and probably iPad) as a standalone electronic logbook. As mentioned above they really are companion apps. Even though you can enter the data and produce a printout all via the iPhone app there is no way of syncing a backup... yet. So if you have to restore your phone or buy a new one you will have to re-enter all your flights!

Otherwise I have no complaints, top software.

MCCPilot log is what I use.

Works on mac/pc & iphone/android.

Easy yet powerful and for many companies can download a planned roster so you only fill in the gaps, times/reg/etc so takes around 30 secs per sector.

One off payment of around 1/2 logtenpro and includes all updates, backs up to their servers too to maintain integrity of data.

But what I considered essential was the ability to import from excel, csv AND to be able to export to excel, csv so I can keep control of my data and if necessary I can transfer it to another program in the future.
