Unused sections in Boeing MELDDG

We are updating the Boeing MEL for the 737-800 and find that there are large sections appropriate to the -300 only. Our CAAI insist that we cannot delete same. Has anyone in any airline received the authority to remove same from the manual to reduce the overall size?

How much bigger does a page saying 'Intentionally Blank' or '737-300 only' make it?

Depends if you are operating a Multi fleet of B737....You need to Insert the comment for -300 only.

generally speaking you can add too but not remove items from the MEL.
