A-320 BSCU Reset

Hi guys,

Some time back I remember doing a BSCU reset, once we taxied out for dep. Correct me if I am wrong, after the reset on GROUND, the pitch trim needs to be adjusted again and flight controls needs to be checked again???
Any update on this procedure? Since, I am not able to find this procedure any more in the present Revision 43?

I could be getting confused with some other computer reset, where one needs to adjust the pitch trim again. Is there any such computer reset, if not the BSCU reset?

Thanks

Hi Hotrod,

You are not supposed to remember how to reset computers by memory, everything is written down for you but you must know where to find it. Go check your QRH, computer reset table, I'm sure you'll find a lot of useful informations. In some cases it'll lead you to your fcom 3 for the reset procedure. Just follow what's written there. Try to apply that for all your computer resets and it will work fine.

Bye!

BSCU reset is acheived by selecting the a/skid toggle switch off then on, would suggest that this wasnt not done during taxi phase as during the reset the BSCU performs a BITE check which de-activates NWS and brakes. From memory the FCOM has a warning to ensure you are at the gate with wheel chocks positioned, but dont quote me on it.
Good advice.....never try to remember checklists, QRH drills or reset procedures, sure way to make a big smokin mess...follow current published procedures.
On this occasion from the reset you describe, most likely FAC1 or 2.

Sorry to quote you - but no such warning exists!

BSCU reset on the ground must be performed with a/c stopped and Parking Brake ON.
