A330/340 dispatch reliability vs 777

This is a general question, but it's aimed at anyone who might have time on BOTH the Airbus and the 777.

I'm just curious to know if there are any prefernces in general from those who have flown these aircraft? payload vs range? dispatch reliabity? That sort of thing.

I don't want to start a thread to bash one or the other please.

I think the A330-200 will beat the B777-300ER anytime in costs per seat when 250 people want to fly A to B.

Goes without saying, the 777 is a much bigger airplane with a lot more capacity, both seating and cargo wise. You need to use the tool applicable to the work at hand. You are trying to compare apples and oranges.

Someone failed to spot the irony, in which case the following may help:

An A340 has superior one-engine out performance.

Though of course that's because the regulatory minima are higher for the A340. (And indeed any 4 engined aircraft)
