A380 Question

At the risk of being mercilessly ridiculed, can anyone throw out a number for fuel burn, at cruise, say FL410? Intuitively, would it be in the order of 30% higher, or more than a B744?

I can't answer the question, but "intuitively" it would less as it has newer, more economical and fuel efficient engines.

What logic would you be using that it would be in the region of 30% higher?

Fuel flow

It will obviously vary with weight, temp, etc etc but Wikianswers gives 10-12 tons per hour average for the 380 and 11 tons average per hour for the 747
