Using TS-1 Russian Jet Kerosene in the PT6.

TS-1 is not listed as one one the approved grades of jet fuel that may be used in the PT6A. However in places where we operate, it is the only jet fuel available. All the operators and military seem to use it, but I was wondering first if it's safe to do so, and secondly what are the long term problems associated with its usage.

I understand that it has a higher flash point and is less viscous than Jet A/Jet A1.

Before I get flamed, yes of course we are busy consulting with P&W directly too, and are awaiting feedback from them.
