Flex Temp

Hi Guys, while flying out of Hongkong, recently it was noticed by me and my other colleagues too that Flex temp shown on E/WD was 1 deg less than what we had put in FMGC. This is usually not the case and we were wondering why it should happen like that. Would appreciate if some one can help on this issue?

Flex

When Flex TEMP is above 72 , one degree should be added to the FLEX value on the FMGC (Take off performance), otherwise your FLEX reading on E/D will be one degree less. It was published long ago in a Bulletin I will try to find it for you.

This happens with some a/c above flex 65. (depends on the fmgs version i guess)

Our procedure was to add one degree to have the indication right. Now we do not do that anymore.
