180 mins ETOPS

You're planning a flight that crosses the atlantic and most of the canadian maritimes are out as well as lpla and kef.

So you're left with kbgr and einn as your 2 etops alts , but with the actual winds you are 3 hrs 36mins from both at the etp.

Flight planners say that the 180 min still air rule is satisfied. Would you depart????

yep, you meet the regs here.

I would seriously look at other options (southern alternates...).

But you are legal, so no leg to stand on (if you would want to refuse, sorry).

as far as I know for thereshold distance calculation we consider wind as 0. We do not look to ETP to alternate times.

You can always use a single ETOPS alternate if you have 180 min ETOPS. Works great.
