Fire proof gloves

Any one know where the requirements to carry fire proof gloves is written ?

Hehe - funny a first reference found in JAR-FCL (Flight Crew Licensing) as a requirement for training.

JAR-FCL 1.470 Appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1.470 Item 021.04.06.00

Err - no further information found. If I were you I'd look deeper into Aircraft certification. Anyways IMHO a very good idea to have fireproof gloves and a PBE next to the fire extinguisher.
