Assumed temperature in Fahrenheit?

Hi everyone!

My question is quite simple. Is Tflex or Assumed Temperature ever referenced in Fahrenheit or is only Celsius being used?

Cheers

Nobody uses that odd foreignheight stuff in aviation.
In fact, less than 0.5% of countries around the world use it for anything.

The use of C or F is an input parameter based on the airlines policy....

Off subject but...

If it helps at all...

04C = 40F
16C = 61F
28C = 82F
40C = 104F

Cheers,

Flex

Many USA airlines still use degrees F.
Don't like it...stick it in your ear...some like it fine, thanks.
OTOH, our European/UK friends like to use mass instead of weight... (what an absolute daft idea...) however, they are welcome to it.

[Possibly quite true and brought a smile to my face .. but, then again, probably not necessarily pertinent to the conversation ? .. JT]

I know I'd rather have a thousand kilos of fuel in the tanks than a thousand pounds. (I also think there have been several cases of fuel emergencies because of the difference)

There are those who understand progress and there are those who ridicule it.

If you are not 411 then you are probably the other.

I'm not sure where the US airlines would get their F degree inputs since the FAA and NWS switched to C degree METARs in 1996.

Yep, ice at 32 degrees, water boils at 1983 or whatever, what a great idea. Hmmm, the rest of the world... Zero equals freezing; 100 equals boiling. Sensible, me thinks...yes.

Mind you, American mathamatics is what nearly brough the financial world to an end with their mortgage scheme, bank bailouts, etc.
