X-rays From Lightning Strikes?
I knew that broad spectrum EMI is emmitted by the typical lightning strike but, never thought that it included ionizing radiation (x-ray).

Greetings,
Yes X-Rays, and a probality to have gama rays as well, also not proven for the later.
So If its smells Ozone (which means that you are in a reversed polarity cloud) if there a continous static noise on the VHF, and if Saint Elmo's fire appears on the winshield, then at the end of a high pitch sound coming from the VHF, you will have it.
Now if one of the first 3 elements is missing , nothing will happen.
