737-8AS Tech question

Hi there,

Im new on type. 12 hours to be exact hahaha. Noticed while doing the walk around, in the wheel well there is an orange tube called a torque bar (it says can turn without notice, may cause injury or death). Anyone know what it does or what its for? Everyone I have asked hasn't a clue.

Flap Drive? Does it run all the way along the upper aft wall of the main wheel well with a gearbox over the main keel beam?
