Data recording - what prospects?

Can we soon envisage flight data/cockpit recordings being continuously uplinked via satellite during flight, to remote storage?

What is the technical feasibility of such a system?

All of the essential constituents of such a system are available, the limitations on its introduction would be the availability of the necessary bandwidth and system capacity to cope with dense air traffic areas and the concomitant cost of that capacity.

How much data and how often? That's what you need to know.
