Airbus speed protections

Just a small thought that's been bugging me sometime.

Are the flaps limited in anyway such as the landing gear? If for example they are moved in the cruise, is there any protection that will prevent them from moving?

You shan't fly too fast with the flaps, neither are you allowed to have them dangling above 20000 feet. But they are not inhibited like with the gear, as far as I know.

Ok, maybe inhibited in the other sense: you cannot retract the slats from Config 1 to Config 0 if you are flying really really slow. The system won't move them (148 kts, high angle of attack).
