Multi-function probe measurements
Hi,
Could someone explain how static pressure is measured on a multi-function probe? How position error is removed caused by high AoA flight? (compare situation to conventional pitot-static tube)
Also if someone could share more information how AoA & sideslip angle are measured by MFP? I know that by comparing the sensed pressures on the probe but how?
Rgds,

I think I have found the information you are seeking.
Click here, then click on the very last link at the bottom of the first page. That will bring up an article from Flight International magazine, 18 October 1986, which was when the technology was introduced.
