CAT 3 SINGLE (1 AP) = Fail passive = without redundancy. If a failure occurs, the approach capabilities will be downgraded and no autoland can be continued.
CAT 3 DUAL (2 APs) = Fail operational. There will be a redundancy that safes the autoland capabilities. It is still operational, but will revert to CAT 3 SINGLE.
