Corfu's runway-apron

Hi to all
I am new to this FORUM. I've been working for the airport for many years. All CAA run Greek runways are asphalt. PCNs are what they claim to be.Why do we not increase them to better accommodate larger ACN aircraft? It is a matter of capital outlay. We prefer to incur the smaller (but more frequent) maintenance costs as it suits better our cash flow .

My view would be that operating with a higher ACN than PCN will ultimately mean the aerodrome operator needs to perform more maintenance on the runway than otherwise.
Completely agree. But, in many cases it's not so much the runways, as it is the taxi-ways and parking areas.
