757 & 767 overwing doors. External entry?

During a Tech refresher course, some bright young thing asked if the fire service (or maybe engineers if in the hangar?) had any means of opening the non-service doors from the outside. Y'know, passenger doesn't pay attention to the safety briefing and can't open a door, fireman stands on the wing etc etc. I've not noticed anything on a walkround but wondered if anyone knew if there was any external access to the deployment mechanism.

First time I've been asked this in 12 years of flying them.

Yes they can be opened from the outside. Depending on the configuration the overwing escape slide is disarmed when opened from outside.
