Immersion Suits

Hello,

I am a Flight Attendant Manager looking for some firsthand information from those of you with experience using immersion suits. Transport Canada has insisted that this information be included in our Flight Attendant Manual and training program- despite the fact that this equipment is required and supplied by contractors (not yet confirmed) using the aircraft. Specifically, I am looking for the following in bold text (information that I cannot glean from the net).

TP 12295E / 5A.2 Specific Equipment: For each piece of safety and emergency equipment carried, identify the following:

1. Correct name/terminology
2. Purpose
3. Components
4. Operations procedures
5. Limitations
6. Operational precautions
7. Procedures after use
8. Pre-flight serviceability checks

Thanks in advance for any information.

Cheers,

Hi EnnBee,

I've had a few go arounds with Transport Canada on the subject of immersion suits, and I'll help you the best I can. There are a few other Canadian operators who could be of help too.

PM me if you like,

Cheers, Pilot DAR
