Headset connectors....
Can someone tell me a bit about the headset inputs on the 737-800.
Can a single plug headset with a PJ068 plug work on a 737 dual plug socket without a Y adapter?
I have someone telling me they are able to in another company, but I can't seem to get it to work.
Are some 737s wired differently?
The dual plug headsets have a PJ068 and a PJ055. So, shouldn't at least one enter the input jack, and provide audio or trasmit capability?
Is it possible that Boeing wired the two jacks to accomodate both a dual plug headset, and a single?

The plugs are different sizes. Maybe you would be able to use a single plug headset, but audio only, and you would only be able to transmit with handmike?

Greetings,
before plugging anything in any cockpit, I think it would be wise to have the headset checked by your maintenance people ( for impendance and so on)
They will also provide an answer to your question
