shut down then restart of APU on 737 -800

hi,

Heres the scenario,

Taxi onto stand, ground crew connect ground power, and subsequently connect aircraft to ground power. APU shut down. Ground power fails and disconnects. position APU switch back to ON, APU still in shutdown cycle, but AC still available and APU continues to run, and APU ON BUS now.

Is this healthy for the APU?

I'm not sure if its different on the NG, but on the Classic this was a normal function. When you move the switch back to the 'run' position the shutdown mode is abandoned and the APU continues to run normally, with air and electrics available.
