Saab 340- critical engine

Just wondering if anyone can help me confirm once and for all as to whether the saab has a critical engine.
Common logic would suggest the left is critical, due to clockwise rotating propellers however I cannot confirm this with the AOM or any company documentation.
Have had it suggested that the greater number of vortex generators on the right side of the aircraft counteract any extra yaw in event of left engine failure however once again, I can't find anything to support this.

Any help or references (web or otherwise) would be gratefully appreciated...

Look carefully along the centerline of each nacelle - you'll see both are canted to the right at the firewall about 2 or 3 degrees. This was introduced during early flight test of the (then) SF340A.

Also look into the stabilizer modifications. The whole area was reworked by SB/AD on the early aircraft. Think this had to do with lift in an engine out situation.

The engines are not exactly lined up the same on each wing as I remember, but its 15 years since I worked the SF340 upclose and personal

Yes, it does. The SF340 does not have counter rotating props. (This is why the yaw trim is set to 1.5 units to the right for takeoff.)

Can't find anything in my manuals right now, but here is a clip that should illustrate it well enough for you- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYee2SCM8a0
