Flight Plan Max Shear Scale
Hi guys,
Does anybody know where I can find the break down of the Maximum Shear Scale as seen on Flight Plans (Jepps= MXSH).
In particular i'm looking for a simple description for an Ops training course. I recall it was 1 to 8, 8 been the worst shear, am I correct?
P.s Thanks AB!

It was explained to us when introduced in our OFPs as a calculation based on wind speed/direction at 2000' above and 2000' below cruise level (but didn't tell what the calculation is). It mentioned that theoretically there is no upper limit, but generally it will show up as a single digit.
