Any aerodynamic reasons for this ?

With the reduced flying during the winter schedule, I've obviously got too much time on my hands !

That's quite ok, Mr Rainboe and I had a similar disagreement some weeks ago, after I had the cheek to enquire about buying some Lufthansa pilot shirts.
I don't think he gets out very often.
Would still be interested in any [I]aero[I]dynamic reasoning from people more schooled in the Bernoulli stuff than I.
