airbus fuel burn??

Hi, just a random question to any big bus pilots...........

I was asked this question by a friend and have no idea of the answer.

Whats the average trip fuel there, and also back to the states eg. LHR - JFK?

I remember my ATPL theory so no need for the remarks about the obvious massive variation, just after a laymans ball park figure.

The reason I ask about Airbus is that my friend was on a 340-600 but would be interested in difference compared to 747.

Cheers

Chris

For the 747-400 use about 10 tonnes per hour, LHR-JFK 7 hours = 70.0 tonnes.

I would guess the A346 uses about 8.5 tonnes per hour, the 777-200 about 6.5
