Wakes of AVRO RJ
I'm flying a heavy type twin (165 t) and got twice into the vortex of an AVRO RJ 2-3 NM ahead of us. The intensity of its wakes were really uncomfortable. "Pros" told me, it's when the AVRO is extending the flaps.
Anyone who knows better?

I used to fly them and we used to get launched quite tightly one after another . On a calm day the wake turbulence was quite severe.
I once heard that the wing had the highest Co-efficient of Lift of any commercial aircraft.
Always came in useful lifting 40 tonnes off LCY!!!!!
