ATS Route numbering

I see W5D has been renumbered N560D. What does this signify? Where do I find the decode of Route numbers - I'll admit this is a lazy approach, but I'm a bit busy right now and would appreciate someone directing me to the correct publication, rather than browzing my entire bookcase.

You can find the information in ICAO Annex 11 appendix 1.

Basically the W to N prefix changes the route from being a non area-nav route to an area-nav route.
