Why would the PTU be running at landing?

Maybe it was a nearby dog!

Power transfer unit?

Please enlighten me.. Why would the PTU be running unless there is a failure of one of the eng hyd pumps? And did anybody else see flames shooting out of the APU exhaust?

I think it's a clear example of what happens when your using the (C-172) "hold it off technique", because of the CG, as soon as spoilers deploy, aircraft attitude pitches up. If it had been a A321 there surely would have been damage. I believe you would have seen some sparks if there was a tail strike.

auto thr disengaged?.....less than Vapp?...snatch flare?....power off?......BANG....BOUNCE.....SPOILERS....Another snatch flare? who know....I am convinced they tore the ar@e out of the tail. Do that on a 321 and you'll leave the tail on the rwy!!! rgds.
