Balanced Runway

Can someone help. Just wanted to know the exact deffinition of balanced runway. Also is this the same as balnced field length. Any help would be good thankyou

Where the TODA = ASDA we have a balanced field ( not a balanced runway). If no stopway or clearway is available then TORA=ASDA=TODA
Balanced field calculations simplify the performance calculations.

When the accelerate-stop distance is equal to the takeoff distance with an engine failure the resulting field length is called a balanced field length

For the purpose of establishing takeoff distance the clearway plane is considered to be the takeoff surface
