London Heathrow ATC
Here's one for London ATC arrivals people.
On a recent check flight into Heathrow a colleague of mine was given a clearance direct to Biggin, then descend to FL100 be level FL150 by 25DME Biggin.
Shortly there after while passing around FL200 he was given a frequency change. The new controller gave him "continue descent to FL070.
Now the question:- Does this constitute a cancelling of the requirement to be Level at FL150 at 25DME Biggin or not.
The same might equally apply when given a clearance to be Level FL150 by Tiger, then given a heading and then say "Proceed direct to Biggin",
Does this cancel the requirement to be Level or does it merely become "Level abeam Tiger".
Clear cut answer would be appreciated

The level by restriction must be reiterated when the clearance is amended.
However the restriction is there to keep you out of someone else's airspace and it would be helpful if you abided by the restriction anyway. If it's quiet and you're unsure, ask.
Some of my colleagues won't give direct routings/continuous descent because of the increase in R/T loading from having to include the level restriction each time.
This has been discussed ad nauseum in the ATC forum and can be found by a simple search.
Sorry I don't do clear cut answers

Hi, in this condition the second clearance will be in force..so you have not to be level at 25 nm fr BIG.
CAA note about RTF point out this problem. If you wish you my get this file from www.wingfiles.com (rtfdisciplinegood.pdf, pag 4) in the "comunication section"
