Question B777 Fmc Guide

Hi all,

I was wondering if there are any B777 FMC Guide and Cockpit Companion published? I had those for 737 and found them very useful...
If anybody knows any publications please let me know...Made a search on the net but couldn't find much...
Any help very appreciated...

Thanx

The only source that I know of which is web-based is for the generic Boeing/Honeywell FMC stuff ......... which, if you're doing a 777 course then you will already have? It's at: http://www.smartcockpit.com/pdf/plan.../systems/0011/

If you're after a published (real, live, hold in your hands book!) version I only know of 'The Big Boeing User's FMC Guide' (757,767,747,777) by Bill Bulfer and Richard Gifford. The home website is: http://www.fmcguide.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=22

I have not seen a copy so I do not know how good it is .... but it does look weighty. Happy hunting!

Cheers MrB

Those are the ones I found also, spoken to the author of the 2nd one and he says it hasn't been updated since 1999...I don't know if it's worth it.
Any idea about Cockpit Companion kind of publication?

Thanx

I fly the 777 and have not found anything like a cockpit companion. A little odd when you consider the aircraft has been around quite a while now.

A chap who goes under the name of Old Smokey on these forums, 777 driver based in Singapore and extremely knowledgeable about aviation technical subjects might be worth asking. See http://www.pprune.org/forums/member.php?u=90911 and send him an e-mail or Personal Message.

Thanx MrB,

That's great help...I never felt the need for such publications but my upgrade is coming up soon, sometimes they want you to know more than you are required during upgrade course that's why I'm after such publications rather than studying from some ex-F/O's custom made notes.
I will certainly get in touch with him.

Cheers

Upgrade to left seat? Emirates, by any chance? Best of luck and happy hunting!

PS: Actually, I just checked your profile - on course in DXB. Does that mean job is elsewhere?

Bump, 2+ years on

Hello Everyone,

I noticed that this thread is more than two years old, and was wondering if anybody has found any good 777 FMC and/or Cockpit Companions since 2007!

Cheers
