are the 757 centre tank trouble free?
On speed news Jan 19 I have see this Advertising:
"APPROVED!, TDG's UFI/Ram for Boeing 757-200 and 300 has an STC#STO1950LA which is an AMOC to AD2002-24-51.
It's Official! the UFI is the only FAA approved product available today that is an inexpensive, easy to install device offering comprehensive protection against potentially dangerous ignition source in the B757 center tank fuel system.....bla bla bla..."
in China, Shanghai airline the fifth larger china operator, has :
5 Boeing 737-700
16 Boeing 737-800 (plus 4 on order)
12 Boeing 757-200
1 Boeing 757-200PCF
4 Boeing 767-300
1 Boeing 767-300ER (plus 2 on order)
5 Bombardier CRJ-200LR
1 McDonnell Douglas MD-11F
On order: 9 Boeing 787-8
reading a similar adv campaign for such a device...make me wonder the real situation fit status of the fleets areound the Globe.

Not sure what your reference to Shanghai Airlines has to do with things, but yes there is now as Service Bulletin and parts available for B757s to remove the Center Fuel Tank usage restrictions. It is currently being progressively introduced in our fleet of 752/753.
