Post Wide-cut vs Narrow-cut fuel

I guess I have searched enough to be eligible to post the question!!

Very simple question indeed.

What is the difference between wide cut fuel, i.e. AVTUR and narrow cut fuel, i.e. AVGAS?

Is it the only difference is: wide-cut fuel being only one or two stages refined from fuel oil, not far from crude oil; whereas narrow-cut fuel being refined many many times?

Please redirect or suggest other resources if there are answers out there. Thanks!

Cheers,
Jackie

I have not heard AVGAS referred to as narrow cut rather Jet A is narrow cut and Jet B (no longer widely used except in extreme cold climates) is a wide cut aviation fuel. The link below goes someway to explaining the two.
