Customising G1000 Displays.

Have looked at many of the different setups for the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. Some versions in some eitcraft dont have a dedicated engine page, while others do, I gather at the whim of the airframe manufacturer.

Others that do, have different displays, in that for engine instruments for RPM say, there is a a simple arc with a needle and the engine RPM value apears in a box in the midle of the arc. Such a setup is found in the Cessna G1000

The Columbia 400 setup on the otherhand as shown in the August 2006 issue of Flying on page 89 shows a terrific set up, in that all the engine guages have green and red bands, and show rpm increments in 100 rpm marks, exactly like a mechanical guage. As well as a digital readout in the centre.

Obviously this is all done via software, so my queston is, will, or is the garmin setup customiseable so you can have the displays exactly how you like them. Sure, is pedantic, but if you're going to spend upwards of a million bucks, surely thie is doable.
