Max Total Windspeed Limit - Light Aircraft
Certain types of light aircraft have a max windspeed limit. Not a max crosswind limit - I can understand that - but a total windspeed limit.
If you want an example, the Grob 109B's max windspeed limit is 30 knots whilst the max crosswind limit is 15 knots.
Can anyone say why? Not speculation - I can think of lots of reasons why it might be - windshear in flight, risk of blowing over whilst taxying, etc - but does anyone know the authoritative answer?
