340 slats

Hi there.
Long time 320 driver, so thought i knew most airbus bits and bobs. Just seen a video of a vs 340 landing and the slats inboard of the outer engines appeared to retract after reverse thrust select. Is this normal?

The 744 LE devices (inboard and midspan) retract when reverse is selected to protect them from FOD damage.

Is it true that when the LE devices are extended that the WAI is inoperative?

No - not true.

Wing anti-ice is however only operable when in the air.
Only works on ground for test.

above is for 744.......NOT for A340

But surely with the LE flaps extended, the warm air will just escape?
