Hi all, a friend of mine has asked me to try and find out what makes the ice detection light on the overhead panel go out. Is it to do with the temp of the bleed air to leading edges or what?

Gidday,
The "ice" light comes on when ice covers the small hole in the front of a probe on the lower fuselage.
Heat is applied at the probe and when no more ice is detected, after about 1 minute the light will go out.
The F-28 had an Auto selection for the engines in this system, the 100 all has to be manually turned on and off
