Champion Air Ground Gripping
Followed a Champion Air 727 out of LAS yesterday - talk about curvature of the Earth or what !
I have never seen an aeroplane stick to the ground as well - what a triumph of determination over gravity - well done boys !
We wer 4,000' higher than you half way round the TRALR departure

Heavy VC10 out of McCarran (Las Vegas) on a summer day gives pretty much the same result. So what's new? Older aircraft have performance issues.
Javelin probably has no experience on turbojets (as opposed to turbofans).

And after seeing the 3 holer disappear over the horizon, one doesn't want any experience on turbojets thank you - 72,200lbs of thrust on each wing is just about fine for me thanks
Saw similar perf on a PIA 747 leaving MAN on a low pressure wet day off 06. Called him over the ocean to ask why such a long roll and his reply creased us up.
"Just heavy but I have had longer", he said..................
