FTL's - a face-to-face confrontation.

At long last, SOMEONE has had the goolies to take the bull by the horns, and confront an issue that is going to become ever more important to PROFESSIONAL PILOTS:
FTL's - it's time for a detailed categorisation of them.
The terms long haul and short haul are well known within the industry, and most of us have a fairly good idea of what both terms imply, but with the shortage of pilots now making itself more evident, I would like to think the aviation industry - and pilots in particular - are able to formulate set definitions for certain flight categories, in order to lay down Flight and Duty time limits specific to the category of flights they operate.

Please throw in your opinions and suggestions, because as mooted earlier on, one of the solutions airlines must consider - and that will impact directly on pilots - as the pilot shortage becomes more acute, is that of current FTL's.

This is an IMPORTANT aviation issue, set to formulate FUTURE LIFESTYLE ISSUES for pilots. Have YOUR say -
or whimp out! The choice is your's, but it is one that will affect the entire industry in time.
