VASI is part of the visual references to continue the approach. Pick it up and you can continue while using the leadin lights as a ground track reference.
It's sporty when it's actually IFR...

The approach should be reconsidered
Every time pilots discuss canarsie approach , I have the feeling that so many pilots do not find it the most appropriate thing to do at the circumstances then, if many pilots are not comfortable , we will be asking for troubles or unnecessary mishaps.

Here's a few more procedures that look like they'll put some hair on any jet pilot's chest icluding females ....notice in the minimums section it says circling
