Headset on the 146

Hi All,
I'm shortly about to move up to this four-engined behemoth and was wondering about suitable headsets. What kind of headset socket(s) are fitted and what headsets do airlines typically use? For those that have worked on other jet flightdecks, how does the noise level compare?
Thanks in advance,
QF

Cool

Poor you quarefellah, havin' to go on the Flying Tea Pot

Well, still two things I was fond of:
1) the airbrake "yeah, we can give you any rate you want... of descent"
2) the ND, though awfully small, could project all infos needed, e.g. both VORs, LNAV etc.

Noise on FDK:
Better have one, and a good one, the beast is very loud, especially below FL200 (windnoise). Having experienced many different kinda jets, this one wins hands up

Headsets:
Ours were equipped with the standard two plug types (as found in lighter airplanes) and foam equipped kindda headset that amplified the ambient noise. Serious!
So finally bought myself a wonderful (and dear) Sennheiser HMEC 45 ANR that did it's job beautifully.

Good thing the planet is curved

quarefellah

When operating the 146 we were provided a lightweight telex (850 I think) which was slightly more usefull than tits on a bull (Aussie vernacular meaning useless). I used my own DC h10-80 until I purchased a Bose X, which was fantastic.

Standard dual jack plug fit in all of our 146s.

The flight deck is quite noisy, and the interphone system to the cabin crew sucks.

I think it's safe to say it will be much nosier than your nice comfy , quiet A345, or even the old quiet A343, or the over powered quiet A332

Comfy, quiet, over powered.... things peope will never say about he 14sic..

146....1 working, has 4 , needs 6...

Only kidding, enjoy life out of the sandpit... ... I see tree's of green, red roses too, and I think too myself....
