For the A320 crews-
If a go-around is performed with the flight-directors turned off, do the flight directors remain off once TOGA is selected?

That depends on the FMGC (Flight Management and Guidance Computer) standard:

With older versions, the FD will remain off at go around engagement.

With newer versions the FD bars are automatically restored at go around engagement.
