Differing Displays

The first one is a newer a/c, with EIS2 - slightly different page formats, and LCD displays instead of CRTs

And does it make a big difference from a pilots point of view having these bigger LCD's? is it just that the flaps indicator and FOB is in a different place, or is there more to it?

E/WD is slightly different, Eng SD has shifted slightly in layout, with the vibration indications moving from the E/WD but not much, but the other SDs are pretty much the same.
The LCD's are much 'cooler' on the eye than the CRT, if you know what I mean, I find them easier to concentrate on for any length of time.

The format of the display also now matches the 330 and 340. Personally I prefer the old display format but much prefer the new screens, bigger and clearer so on balance it's a good change. Shame we are not retro-fitting it.
