DHC Dash 8 Q400 De-ice

Is there a de-icing boot on the fin leading edge? It looks like there is but there isn't any mention of it in the training manual.

Vertical Stabilizer

Speedrestriction, if you mean vertical stabilizer when you say "fin leading edge" then YES there are two deice boots. Check your FCOM Volume 2 under section 12 Ice and rain protection page 12-21 to 12-26. The Boot inflation lights are not shown on the Overhead panel in the cockpit but they are inflated as part of the sequence.

Hope that helps.
