The only limitation as such is a minimum of 760kg in each main (wing) tank for ground operations, and cooling of the electric hydraulic pumps.
11000 kg would be across wings and centre tank. From memory the wings hold 9000kg (4500 each). Total fuel is about 15880kg.
Haven't flown 300/400 for about 3 years so not sure what is current regards centre tank fuel pump limitations.

Re Standby Hyd pump, 300 normally powered by Gen Bus #1 and will transfer to Gen Bus 2. NG normal power is Transfer Bus 2
Hope this helps

AC Powered - DC activated - using DC relays to control AC power to the pump motor.

No centre tank pump restrictions with 11000kg on Classic or NG. Ensure wings are full. Wings tend to be nearer to 9200kg. That's it.

Lightbulb

The usual 2 pennies....

Limitations from AFM:

- If more than 453 kg are in the centre tank, wings must be full;

Limitations from Operations Manual Bulletin, Jul 3, 2001:

- For ground operations, center tank fuel pump switches must NOT be positioned to ON unless the center tank fuel quantity exceeds 453 kg, except when defueling or transferring fuel.
- Center tank fuel pump switches must be positioned OFF when both low pressure lights illuminate.
- Center tank fuel pumps must NOT be ON unless personnel are available in the flight deck to monitor low pressure lights.

Within our airline:

- Takeoff with centre tank pumps on, with less than 1000 kg is NOT recommended, to avoid "low pressure" lights and master caution blinking during the T/O roll and initial climb.

So... 11000.. Wings full and some 2000 kg in the centre tank should get the job done!

And yep, Standby HYD pump is powered by GEN 1 (with alternate provision from GEN 2), so AC powered.

Cheers.

Gufo....my only querie with your quotation refers to the part relating to the FCOM bulletin, second para, my best current info is that EACH center section pump is to be secured when it's respective LOW PRESSURE light illuminates.

Otherwise I'm OK with it!

Cheers, FD

I was just reporting the bulletin literally. Anyway, I agree that what you say is what the bulletin means.
I understood the same, at least, even though the text by Boeing could have been clearer about that..

Ciao
